This was not a very good survivor series.
The matches overall were actually pretty lame. The highlights included the Undertaker winning the WWF championship from Hulk Hogan (with the help of newcomer Ric Flair), and the "beginning of the end" of "The Rockers" as Vince McMahon decided to push Shawn Michaels as a solo act and turn him heel against his longtime partner Marty Janetty. Have to say this card seemed like it was more "propaganda" about what was _going to happen_ rather than focusing on what was actually happening. There weren't that many good matches...not even the "Survivor Series" matches were all that exciting, nor did they pretend to be. No Ric Rude, no Ultimate Warrior, no Rick Martel, etc etc... I guess I'm starting to see some of the old stars of the late 80's fade into the background now. I believe this is where things - and the general direction of WWF overall - began to slowly turn in a different direction; a lot of the "cartoon character" wrestlers are starting to drift away. (Oh, there are plenty that still remain, unfortunately...)
