As a child, Ali Neuman narrowly escaped being murdered by Inkhata, a militant political party at war with Nelson Mandela's African National Congress. Only he and his mother survived the carnage of those years. But as with many survivors, the psychological scars remain.

A brutal yet conventional thriller elevated by its South African setting.
A quite good crime thriller before the background of South Africa after the end of Apartheid. While the racism part of the story does not come out as well as the makers want it to, the movie is in general still a pretty entertaining crime thriller. Bloom and Whitaker deliver excellent performances thus making good the end result a watch. Solid entertainment.
Reasonable crime movie hampered by significant amounts of dialogue in various South African dialects with no subtitles so you end up having to guess most of the story.
