Synopsis
UFC 39: The Warriors Return was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on September 27, 2002, at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. The event was broadcast live on pay per view in the United States, and was the first UFC event to be released on DVD.

The UFC debut of one of the all-time greats, Tim Sylvia. The match between Sylvia and Wesley "Cabbage" Correira is the essence of why we watch MMA: this was a great fight between two modern-day warriors who didn't hesitate to pull out all the stops and go toe-to-toe. Great fight! The rest of the fights were pretty much unremarkable, including what I had expected to be a great fight between B.J. Penn and Matt Serra. Would I recommend this? Probably not...
