Littlefoot and his friends find life in the Great Valley a bit too restrictive under the watchful eyes of their overprotective parents. Wishing to not be treated like babies anymore, the group chase after a pair of dangerous dinosaurs stealing an egg from Ducky's nest. When the egg they bring back hatches in the valley, the friends are surprised to find a baby Sharptooth. Rather than abandoning him, they name him Chomper and attempt to raise him as one of their own.

And so the full binge begins. The Great Valley Adventure is officially kicking off my journey through all 14 films, and as expected, it’s a noticeable step back from the magnificent original. The emotional weight isn’t quite there, the stakes feel lighter, and the direct-to-video shift is pretty apparent in the tone and presentation. As a kid, though? I remember loving this one. The adventure felt bigger, the new characters were fun, and it expanded the world in a way that felt exciting at the time. Watching it now, I don’t still love it — but I can absolutely see why younger me did. It’s not on the same tier as the first film, but it’s still a worthwhile continuation and an easy watch for fans of the series. Rating: 3/5 – 75% – Worth Watching
