[Veoasecan] Despite any good intentions, everything in this film is swallowed up by a simplistic, pamphleteer approach: from the shallow script to the basic animation and the bland, voice-overs that sound more like reading than acting. There's as much depth in the characters as there is in the flat art direction surrounding them, resulting in a complete lack of emotion. Although based on a true story, its approach to gender violence is artificial and superficial. The final addition reinforces the tone of an institutional video masquerading as a feature film.
