This year’s Survivor Series: War Games landed squarely in WWE’s frustrating “good enough” zone—competent, watchable, and ultimately uninspired. For one of the Big 4, it should feel special, but instead it played like a night of missed opportunities. Match 1 featured a spot that actively detracted from the wrestling itself. Match 2 leaned on a fake betrayal and a cheap finish. Match 3 was perfectly serviceable but indistinguishable from something you’d see on a random Raw. Match 4 turned into a finisher parade capped by yet another weak ending. None of it was outright bad, but almost all of it felt like WWE settling rather than striving. There’s always room to elevate this event, but this year they simply didn’t. Best Match: None, really (but Cena v Mysterio if I had to choose) Rating: 2/5 – 65% – Not Recommended to Everyone

For a big PPV like Survivor Series, this was poor and mid at best, with a main event that for me had the worst War Games ending ever. What was Tripz thinking? How many times are we going to watch the dumb Hoodie-Guy end to a match concept? It shows that star power does not ensure a good end product. As for Cena, I feel sorry for him, WWE is so dumb to book Cena in such a retirement tour. Boring show, dumb results.

The only bad thing is the ESPN app. Hard to get it to work to watch it. Even with a subscription.
