what an insufferable main character! shes mean for far too much of the movie and the male lead is so weird? i’m not sure a romance between high school sweethearts that broke up 10 years ago was the way to go about it bc it just seemed like everyone was really weird and childish
_A Christmas Wedding Date_ is a cheesy low-budget holiday film…but in all the right ways. After losing her job, Rebecca returns to her hometown for her best friend’s Christmas Eve wedding and soon finds herself reliving the day over and over again. Marla Sokoloff, Catherine Hicks, and George Wendt lead the cast, and do a good job at playing the broad, cartoonish type characters that this type of film calls for; especial Sokoloff, who’s charismatic and charming. Also, a lot the _Groundhog Day_-ish humor works; with Rebecca taking advantage of reliving the same day and having fun with it. At times it’s a mess, but overall _A Christmas Wedding Date_ is delightfully entertaining.
