[Fantasia '25] Like any immigrant, Yasamin faces a duality between the customs of her family and birthplace at home and the need to adapt to a different cultural environment when she attends high school. Although the balance between the first part of the story and a more chaotic third act is sometimes not entirely achieved, it skillfully uses the genre as a narrative tool to reflect on more relevant themes. However, by introducing a demonic figure instead of delving deeper into the protagonist's obsession with fitting in, it somewhat reduces the effectiveness of the message it seeks to convey.
