[Annecy '25] A beautiful fable about old age and the changes that occur when one must accept that the rest of one's life will be spent in a senior center. Shrouded in a certain melancholy as Piet comes to terms with his own aging and believes he's turning into a bird, it opens up different interpretations that make it more interesting: it could refer to Alzheimer's and the way memories are allowed to fly away, but also to the way of accepting the end of life. Although the intention is to create a friendly story, the different interpretations give the story a moving complexity.
