Bishnu returns to her Himalayan village after quitting her job, only to face mounting family pressures and societal expectations. As tensions rise with her pregnant sister's arrival and a budding relationship with a "suitable" boy from her community, Bishnu must choose between conforming to tradition or claiming her independence.

[SSIFF '25] Through a traditional homecoming story, the director brings a female perspective to a family made up of three generations of women living alone in a Himalayan community. But there are no easy speeches, but rather a rich and complex description of characters, revealing the weaknesses of each of them. One of the greatest successes is finding a way to reflect contradictory perspectives, such as the making of momos, a connection with the warmth of family tradition, but also a representation of the role of women in society.
