I remember watching this movie when it first came out and how beautiful and emotional it was. Since then I've forgotten the story and the intricate details. I only remembered being moved by it. I came across this movie today by chance and had the time to watch it. It was a better experience than I remembered. Jodie Foster (Anna) and Chow Yun-fat (King of Thailand) give their best to bring the story to life. The set designs and costumes look amazing in high-definition video. A luxury not available back in the day when I watched this on VCD. The version I watched wasn't a remastered release. I wish they'd do this movie justice and remaster it in 4K with 10bit colour.
