Started off very promising, but the story was lost in the 2nd half and just became a dumpster fire.

Serial-killer marriage therapy. Great hook, strong moments, then it gets soap-y and tangled. The better film is in there somewhere. Charlie wants her husband to quit killing. He tries. Their love curdles as she covers for him and slides into violence herself. The core idea rips, and the performances pop, but the plot sprawls, detouring into melodrama and losing the cold focus that a story like this needs. You can see why THN singled it out pre-fest, and the premise could have sung like Strange Darling if it stayed leaner and meaner. As is, it fascinates in pieces rather than as a whole.
