[Sheffield '25] The structure proposed by filmmaker Amber Fares returns to Noam Shuster's stand-up comedy, alternating with the comedian's personal experience, perhaps to demonstrate that the panoramic perspective she seeks to offer of an ongoing conflict is only possible from a personal perspective, reflecting on the identity of its protagonist as a projection of the identity of an entire country. But it's not as interesting when Noam Shuster expresses solidarity with the occupied Palestinian territories, but rather when she confronts the ambiguous or racist opinions of her fellow Israelis.
