Jacques Mesrine, a loyal son and dedicated soldier, is back home and living with his parents after serving in the Algerian War. Soon he is seduced by the neon glamour of sixties Paris and the easy money it presents. Mentored by Guido, Mesrine turns his back on middle class law-abiding and soon moves swiftly up the criminal ladder.

Never heard of this Mesrine guy before but I've been watching a lot of crime films recently and thought I'd give this one a go. And yes, it's very good. The trials and tribulations of a career criminal who returns to Paris after the Algerian war. Keeps you engaged all the way through even if it is a bit typically shot. There have been a lot of similar films and series the past 20 years. It's a very good film but recently I have seen some very high standard crime films so it's hard to go above 3.5.
