I loved it! Thrilling, immersing, non-linear script with classic horror themes but also kind of meta! [spoiler] The circular ending and, just before that, the nightmarish interconnection of the stories shot in a more expressionistic style, wow! [/spoiler] A classic anthology film, innovative and precursor of favorites such as the TV shows Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1955) and The Twilight Zone (1959)

A supernatural anthology with a wraparound story that actually is a sum of its parts. The best two segments include a mirror that reflects a room where a murder was committed and a ventriloquist with a malevolent dummy. This is a spooky classic with one of the freakiest finishes I've ever seen. I must have watched the final nightmare sequence four or five times because I couldn't get over how strange it was. If you want to watch an effects-laden or gory horror movie, do not watch this. This is all about mystery, mood and atmosphere

This might be the best horror movie I've ever seen. It's one of the most well done and well told stories. I can see how it influenced many of my favorite movies. What a joy to watch.

This movie feels like the blueprint used later by Rod Serling to create The Twilight Zone series. The movie consists of a series of unrelated dreams that the different characters recount, all with a supernatural theme. As with Twilight Zone, some of the segments are better than others, but all in all the movie is still quite entertaining … And if you do not like one of the segments, just fast forward to the next one ;-)
