Okay, _The Perfect Score_ is a heist movie with high-school kids. Think _Ocean's 11_ (2001) meets _The Breakfast Club_ (1985). Our group of characters meet the primary stereotypes for a movie about high schoolers. The movie isn't bad, per se, but it takes a while to get where it's going, then it's in a rush to finish. What's really lacking here is the writing: I can tell the film is typing to "say something," but it never has a moment that actually makes you think or feel anything. This is very much a PG-13 comedy that never takes any risks, aside from a quick panty shot from Scarlett. I'd much rather watch _Slackers_ (2002) if I'm in the mood to laugh. Very forgettable, but not terrible. The very definition of mediocrity. I'd only recommend this if you were in high school in 2004 and want some nostalgia.
