This time, the monsters are real!
After going their separate ways, Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, and Fred reunite to investigate the ghost of Moonscar the pirate on a haunted bayou island, but it turns out the swashbuckler's spirit isn't the only creepy character on the island. The sleuths also meet up with cat creatures and zombies... and it looks like for the first time in their lives, these ghouls might actually be real.

Zombie Island and Witch's Ghost are the two BEST Scooby Doo movies ever made!
This movie really scared me as a kid.
5.5 ⭐ It’s a fun movie but not my favourite Scooby Doo
Still hits. A great time, this scared the heck out of me as a kid. The animation goes hard, especially the transformation sequences, and I like how it doesn’t reset to status quo. This isn’t the first Scooby thing to have real supernatural entities, but it’s the first to hit it big, and it set a blueprint for Witch’s Ghost on, Mystery Incorporated, and more, and deconstructs and spins the gang before the live action movies ever did.
This is an entertaining movie that was the first time the Scooby Gang faced real monsters. There’s really not enough Scooby-Doo movies like this now. Now Velma has to go back to debunk anything that had real monsters and prove it was fake. Including Zombie Island with a disappointing sequel. Hopefully they never do that with the Goblin King movie. Only way to debunk that is to say they all were on drugs lol.
