The toughest ride is redemption.
Desperate to raise money for his daughter’s cancer treatment, a retired bull rider teams up with his estranged son and resorts to robbery to secure payment before time runs out. But after the heist goes awry, keeping the money—and their freedom—requires the duo to outwit a dogged pair of local law enforcement officers, including a justice-minded sheriff who soon suspects that the key to her case may lie uncomfortably close to home.

I finally got around to watching this because Joe picked this for our weekly swap. I’m glad he did because I did want to see this. This was a pretty powerful story about a family that makes questionable choices to help their own. It’s slow throughout but has a good plot. It deals with family, drama, addiction and drugs. I liked the cast and thought they were perfect for the roles they played. It’s pretty well written and competently directed. I definitely liked the family dynamic. I really liked the way this ended too. It’s not perfect but if you can deal with how slow it moves it’s a pretty good watch. * Movie swapping with Joe
It's a good family drama with great performances from veteran actors Annabeth Gish and C. Thomas Howell.
Do yourself a favor and watch this movie.
