Synopsis
Constantly mistreated by her cruel husband, the frail Chan Sau-ying awaits certain death from tuberculosis. The new servant girl, Kei-wah takes pity on her mistress' plight and the pair proceed to drown him one evening. They dump his body in a near-by pond but Sau-ying believes that the man's bloated corpse has risen from the bog to seek vengeance.

Hex is an interesting little horror flick from Kuei Chih-Hung. Can feel a bit long drawn at times, though. Especially when we get a dancing nude ghost for about 10 minutes towards the end. In the beginning, it's hard not to draw comparisons to Les Diaboliques, but after a while things just get a bit too much Kuei Chih-Hung. Maybe not the scariest or goriest thing out there, but certainly worth a watch.
