Jacqueline has an energy level that is very contagious and only adds to her 90 minutes of absolutely hilarious spot-on stand-up routine! Edit: I realized what attracts me to her humor so much; she brings amazing aspects of George Carlin, Robin Williams, Niki Glaser and Julianna Hatfield (I am thinking of her reading of Jack Kerouac's "Silly Goofball Poems" and the way Jacqueline uses her poetry background in her work) to her own story, and it was perfect! The show centers entirely on themes of sexual activities—particularly blowjobs—and Novak’s ability to craft a 90-minute narrative around this topic is nothing short of impressive. Her sharp wit and unique perspective shine through as she dives deep into personal anecdotes, societal observations, and philosophical musings, all tied to the central theme. However, Novak’s distinctive delivery style, while often engaging, occasionally leans too heavily on elaborate metaphors. At times, she takes such a winding path to her punchlines or insights that the sheer volume of words becomes overwhelming. I'd be keen to see more of Novak - hopefully sooner rather than later.
