About a week ago I watched part of the trailer for this movie and knew it was something I’d be into. I’ve always like true stories and this was another good one. It’s a powerful story about a kid that was severely burned and had less than a 1% chance of surviving. As far as the story itself goes, it’s powerful, moving and emotional. I do think the movie itself had some issues trying to tell the story. The heart and emotion were there and I felt inspired several times watching this. Some of the acting, the editing and script were the biggest problems. Now I didn’t expect this to be a masterpiece or perfectly made so none of those things bothered me all that much. Despite the acting being questionable at moments I did like several of the actors. I’ve always been a fan of Masey McLain in particular, so I was happy to see her appear in this. I thought the way they structured the story was part of the problem. It just needed some better editing choices. I felt like they kind of rushed through the ending and John’s adult years. With all of that being said I did really like this movie. There’s some great lessons to be learned here. * AMC Crestwood 18

Inspiring story, a little bit above average movie.This is not one of the better written or acted faith-based films I have seen.Had the potential to be much better,not bad though.
