Lifetime films are not Oscar Quality. This we know. We turn on a lifetime film for good ol' popcorn escapism. But. This is not a good film. The story is fine. But, the writing, music, and acting leave a lot to be desired. Characters have drawn out monologues, a lot of the music plays like a dramedy and doesn't fit the scene and some lines seem to be flat out rushed by the actors. Not to mention a couple of the performances being extremely flat. It's all made worse by the fact we're watching a movie about acting. I'm sure everyone worked hard on the film, but it just didn't turn out well. I can count the times on my fingers I've wanted to turn off a film. This one just didn't get turned off because I was watching with others.
