_The Care Bears Movie_ is a beloved ‘80s children’s film about the magic of friendship. When a young magician’s apprentice finds a magical book and casts a spell to make everyone as anger and lonely as he is, the Care Bears attempt to free him from the book’s enchantment. Based on the popular toy line, the film features all the major Care Bear characters (Tenderheart, Grumpy Bear, Friend Bear, Good Lucky Bear, etc.) as well as the Care Bear Cousins. Mickey Rooney narrates, and there are a couple of fun songs; including “Care-a-Lot” and “Home is in Your Heart.” Additionally, the animation is quite good; full of color and imaginative designs. Delightfully entertaining, _The Care Bears Movie_ is a terrific children’s film.
