Too young to be a widow, too beautiful to be alone.
12-year-old Renato experiences three significant events on the same day: the beginning of the Second World War, getting a bike, and witnessing the arrival of the gorgeous Malèna. Through his eyes, we see the curse of beauty and loneliness of Malena, whose husband is presumed dead, and, through his soul, we see his love for her.

Will definitely be look for more Monica Belluci movies...been a fan since the Matrix
It's not only about Monica, it's the purity behind the plot, the double-faced society, and the devil that society can become. It is about complicity- a whole town watching a woman suffer, doing nothing, and in some cases, participating. The boy's obsession is the frame, but the tragedy is hers entirely. You can see and feel the innocence of that kid throughout. Haunting, melancholy, and beautifully shot. Ennio Morricone's score is a masterpiece on its own.
"Casting: Adolfo Onorati" Fuck did they need a casting director for bruh...anyone would've cast Monica after reading the script. (The rest of the cast doesn't even matter).
