Faith Is Fragile.
The story of Leon, an antiques collector who inherits a house from his estranged mother only to discover that she had been living in a shrine devoted to a mysterious cult. Soon, Leon comes to suspect that his mother's oppressive spirit still lingers within her home and is using items in the house to contact him with an urgent message.

Catching up before it's leaving Shudder. A man returns to his recently deceased mother's house to pack things up. He begins to experience strange occurrences as he roams around the house and becomes convinced that her mother tries to contact him from the dead. I really enjoyed this one. It leans more towards mystery rather than horror. It depends on the atmosphere and mood to spook the audience instead of jumpscares or shocking imagery. Set in a single location full of creepy statues and artifacts, it manages to get under your skin and hugs you with discomfort. The score is done fantastically and it has great lighting and camera work to keep things interesting. The one and only performer is decent enough to carry the whole film. This is a melancholic slow-burn horror with decent scares that's worth checking out.
this was genuinely creepy to me. its rare for movies to do that.
