Prepare yourself for the moment of truth.
A political activist is convinced that her guest is a man who once tortured her for the government.
Avis de la communauté (1)
This movie adaptation of a successful theatre play by Ariel Dorfman lives from the acting performances of Weaver and Kingsley. She is the torture victim of a fascist government and she suspects Kingsley of being her torturer fro years before. Although much older now and living under a different name, she is certain but he denies it. She wants to get him to admit that he is that person and that leads to interesting and partly deep discussions about right and wrong, necessary and futile, orders and free will. A good movie that still feels a lot like a theatre play.
