Journey of the Doomed is sadly not an especially good, nor interesting film. The first three quarters of an hour is ok enough, but has a certain “low budget” feel that is really hammered home with all the awkward sex scenes. The rest of the movie is extremely boring and totally falls apart story wise. You can see that this one comes at a point where the Shaw Brothers were transitioning into a TV production company. Low effort and rather uninspired, Journey of the Doomed is perfectly OK to skip.
