No one is safe from Son of Sam.
Spike Lee's take on the "Son of Sam" murders in New York City during the summer of 1977 centering on the residents of an Italian-American Northeast Bronx neighborhood who live in fear and distrust of one another.

Much like Do The Right Thing, Summer of San is a smothering film building to a boiling point. But it knows its communities less than DRRT, and it’s not as deft. From the punk scene to gays, Lee bites off a bit more than he can chew. In a surprising if delightful misstep, there’s a talking dog. Voiced by John Turturo. It’s far from a bad film, with a stellar cast and a scathing look at masculinity. But 25th Hour does that better too, leaving Summer of Sam as an odd middle child.
A hot summer in New York
“Kill. Kill. Kill” - the Dog Such a great young cast. Brody, Sorvino and Leguizamo are so good. Really wish Mr. Lee could have created the movie he wanted. 🐕 :footprints:📣
