An uninspired sequel that lacks suspense and genuine laughs. Extra points deducted because the arch-conservative Monika Gruber was given a platform.

I can't say I like it very much. The new dog is cute though. Fish-eye lens is turned to eleven up to the point that it starts to be annoying. Don't know whether that's my overall fatigue with this show or whether it became continuously worse, but I don't think that this episode is able to meet the show's earlier standards. That's not witty anymore. Nor is it a fresh look on rural life based on keen observations of local townsmen. If you'd be generous, you could laude the writers for knowing their Twitter memes (like the ridiculous men's camp to rejuvenate your inner alpha male by chipping wood, shouting, hugging and crying like a baby in the woods while being shirtless). Once beloved characters are mostly clowns w/zero character development. It's basically a repetition of the show's earlier greatest hits. Still okay-ish to watch on the small screen while doing something entirely different - like your income tax declaration. Otherwise an incoherent story that I'd barely call a movie that has any right to be screened in theaters. PS: There's a case. But this is really an afterthought.

These movies increasingly become worse and worse. Even if you're a fan of Eberhofer, you can safely skip this and you'll not miss anything.
