Synopsis
A young man, of Romani descent, returns to his hometown of Gloucester. He is met by local garage mechanic, Dunleavy. They embrace, smiling. But what past does the young man carry with him? What awaits him back amongst people he doesn't really understand and who don't understand him? And what lurks in the forest, watching, silent, old as the trees?

[BFI LFF'22] Uses Celtic folklore related to the connection between man and nature to craft a drama about the trauma of loss. It is a nightmarish journey that still has references to the mythology of the forest goddesses and the "green man" that directly quotes David Lynch or Nicolas Roeg. As risky as it is failed, too abstract to feel identified with the protagonist, but it resolves the mixture of myths, legends and human psychology.
