[JFF '23] The film is constructed as a family drama to address a much broader reality around the economic environment and the way in which small businesses try to survive. But what the director achieves as a transposition of a particular narrative to express a more universal view, fails to expand to the development of the story itself, which weakens the values of the main idea. The soundtrack contributes to surrounding the film with a minimalist tone, while the ending draws an uncertain future in which the characters don't achieve greatness, but they do achieve the loneliness of the title.
