Agreed that the lack of a local dialect was glaringly obvious but it was the scriptwriting that disappointed me most. Without resorting to spoilers I can honestly say that given a fairly good premise for a whodunnit the writers failed miserably in many ways to provide a story that was believable and intelligent. Far too many implausible incidencies throughout the script which were almost comical at times. Ecpected better from a program which included some very good actors but unfortunately they can only deliver the lines that are written for them.
Set in Dundee, yet not a single discernable attempt at a local accent... and 95% of shooting obviously done in Bolton. S2 is almost a completely different show, featuring terrorism and bombs. The trial stuff felt tacked on and should have been in s1 since the 3 actors involved basically left after ep2 of s2. Odd.
Watched first 2 episodes and lost interest.
