The last episode almost ruined this season for me. Keep prolonged and silly gun fights in Hollywood where they belong.
The stakes in each season have kept escalating, and this latest installment is a wild ride since the very start. This season brought back the same kind of internal conflicts and intrigues that initially drew me into the series, and it was also great to see my faves (Cate and Diane) contributing so extensively this time. However, I’m not too sure about the way they handled the action in the final episodes. While the overall experience remains exhilarating, it felt like they went a little overboard. I anticipated the Slow Horses would devise a more intriguing and clever resolution. Instead, the climax unfolds in a surprisingly muscular and implausible manner, leaving me somewhat perplexed. It's an undeniably solid show, but I found myself wishing for a more nuanced and satisfying conclusion to complement the series' established depth and complexity.
half way through this season you can tell it's a weak one and then at the end it turns into a complete disaster, literally home alone 3 level of action with cartoonish characters. they completely butchered this whole series. it's not a spy series any-longer, i don't even know what this is. the only explanation is this was written by different writers that had no idea what the show used to be. i simply cannot believe how bad [spoiler]the last 2 episodes were[/spoiler], what on earth was this? this show is done, it's a lame joke of what it used to be. too bad, there aren't that many decent shows left.
A beautiful season and also a fascinating left turn in which they basically say “Look, we can explore slightly different genres and it doesn’t feel forced at all, because we have great characters, great actors and a versatile show.” And it’s very well made. I love it.
I loved the two first seasons of the show, but this one raised the bar a lot higher. Good action scenes without too much super-heroic behaviors and a good balance between drama and comedy. I also like how the story is evolving mostly in a logical way.
