Overall, very forgettable. There wasn't anything exceptional enough to note. This was just a show that popped up and got watched due to nothing else on the radar, so to speak. I guess it was decent enough with the premiere. You know, because it was the premiere. The introduction to this new world and its characters, all that. Afterward, that feeling of mild...excitement, I guess, based on something new, and interest fizzled itself out very quickly. It became very repetitive, you could say. And from that point forward, the Bone Collector himself was the show's saving grace, and he, that aspect, could only do so much. I was only watching week-by-week out of this deep loyalty within me to trudge through the remainder of the show, to do so with any show that I start if having to trudge through it starts to become required. The interest just wasn't there, anymore. At the same time, I didn't hate it. I just wasn't engulfed with interest and enthrallment to a sufficient degree. It was mildly mediocre, at best. One of those shows that's a hit or miss, and more miss than hit.
Have read many of the books & saw the movie. Couldn’t stand the first episode! If u liked the books or movie... I’m guessing this show will annoy you also.
I don't remember the character of Lincoln Rhyme being so arrogant and self focused in the film. So either the actor decided to play it this way or this is how he was in the books. But I found it really annoying for the main character to not listen to another character explaining something logically to him. Again and again you see the other characters antagonised by his tone and actions. The guy is a prick. I'm not a police officer but I'm reasonably certain that the police would be handling most of what this guy does and if you fail constantly by doing A you must at least try B to complete a task.
How the hell can you fuck up a series like that??? I mean look at the material it is based on - Deaver practically writes books for your brain cinema. It is so cinematic the way he describes people and makes them come alive …not to forget the cliffhangers at the end of almost every chapter in the 2nd half of his novels. That’s the real thing!!! And although I did not like the Denzel movie based on the same book at first I have to say that I came to love it over the years and especially after watching this series. I was so desperately hoping we would get another season cause all I want to see is the second book on a screen (it is the best one!!!). But only two episodes in I knew that this would never happen!!! Another lost opportunity here….
Can't Believe they Ended this Show.. Great Cast & Breathe Taking Scenes... I could've seen this going far.
