Sam verschlägt es auf eine mysteriöse Insel an der britischen Küste. Dort findet er eine merkwürdige Welt und sehr verschlossene Einwohner vor. Die Rituale auf der Insel, die vom Festland weitestgehend abgetrennt ist, überfordern ihn. Außerdem wird er mit alten Traumata konfrontiert. Die Grenzen zwischen Realität und Fantasie vermischen sich allmählich, bis Sam schließlich eine emotionale Herausforderung annimmt und den Lebensstil der Insulaner hinterfragt.

Absolute $hite... nothing makes sense unless you are on LSD, because the writter and director were on it when they made this crap. Watched 3 episodes.. I want my life back!!!! -20/10
It started fine, but suddenly nothing makes sense and ends without making any sense at all. The story is poor, the acting is weird and it doesn't worth the time. HBO has lots of great shows, but this is not one of them.

I wished I had read the comments before watching. I persevered thinking it must come together properly at the end. Looking back, it felt like someone had taken the atmosphere of the original Wickerman and stretched it over 6 season. If you fancy the idea of watching Wickerman 4 times in a row, the enjoy. Otherwise, maybe not.
Wow, this is bad. If you get the chance to not watch this show then good on you! I'm now jealous of you.
