Shinra loses consciousness while observing the world before the Great Cataclysm. The next time he wakes, three months have passed and the fifth giant pillar has appeared. On top of all of that, Shinra himself is tied up in an unfamiliar room. Confused by his situation, Shinra begins to panic. Just then, someone arrives.

Upon hearing that the sixth and seventh giant pillars have appeared simultaneously, Fire Force soldiers are dispatched. They attempt to deal with the situation by by borrowing manpower from Haijima and the Imperial Army, but handling two pillars at once proves difficult and they find themselves shorthanded. Just then, Benimaru spots a certain Infernal near the seventh pillar.

The fierce battle between Benimaru and Hibachi has brought Adolla closer, and the reflection of the moon in the gouged out surface of the sea seems strange. Observing these events leads Licht to understand the truth of the doppelgangers and the objective of the Great Cataclysm.
