Wow. Just wow, this anime is amazing. Hit me right in the feels, the pacing is good, and the story is amazing. I can't wait to watch the movie later this year, and the song from episode 9, each time I watch the scene it makes me want to cry. Amazing.
Well-written and decently animated adaptation of the manga. It added on scenes that felt so natural that I almost thought I missed some panels in the original manga. What pushed the adaptation to be amazing is the songs that were produced. They lived up to the expectation and masterfully depicted the pain of the MC.
It's so fucking hard to find good queer stories in anime that don't lean too hard on BL as a (sometimes gross) genre space. This show gets a lot right in terms of queer desire. I've enjoyed it so far and will be along for whatever else they put out in the future. (The music's pretty alright, too.)
