i was expecting something similar to Melissa and Joey, insted i find something i won't even recomend for tourte someone you hate. I would really like to know who is responsable for all the Originals since May-June 2016. Only thee comedies have been good enough (Disjointed, Lady Dinamite and One Day at a Time) and all of them have been cancel, while all the s*t still renewing, And what is not comedy is a really sh*tty copy of something really good, or simply the worst without copying.
==_some spoilers ahead, but will be marked_== ### Summary: A felt-good kid's show that depicts a story about an "orphan" who wants revenge on a family who
destroyed their father's business and her family
. However, it is as expected that the MC, Nick, gets attached to the family, and the family begins to treat her more and more like family. ### Part I grade: 7/10 Since on Netflix the first(and only) season is split into two parts and it actually makes sense being like this, I want to review both parts. In the first part, we see a still _not so revenge-hungry_ Nick who starts to get attached to the family and
wants to make enough money for her father's attorney
, but is being negligible with her "Scam" parent and start to suspect her of going "soft", not getting them money and in their perspective keeping all the cash. Personally, the first part was kind of cute to watch, exactly what you expect to see when you watch a kid's show. The first part isn't something that special or memorable, but after I watched the entirety of it I understood that in this part Nick only wants to rob them and make some quick cash, because this is her sense of justice, she doesn't want, nor need more than that. ### Part II grade: 9/10 Call me whatever you want, I get emotional and analyze things that don't actually need to be that over-analyzed. The second part is fairly different than the first, not different in writing or the action, but we see a Nick stressed and desperate, themes that a kid's show shouldn't have. This Nick wants to see if any of the Thompsons regret what they have done to her and her father, because she wants to forgive them and starts to love them as her real family. But as time passes she starts to get hurt repeatedly by each one of them seeing that not even one regrets what they did and that fuels her drive to get revenge and destroy what they love the most.
First Molly by destroying her reputation as an activist. Second Liz by destroying her restaurant and her chance of being on Top Chef. Third is Jeremy by getting him expelled and ruining his honor as school president. And lastly Ed by getting him arrested, which she didn't want to happen, because since the first time they met, Ed considered her as a daughter and not a stranger, creating a father-daughter bond with him.
I don't want to spoil the end very much, but it is what you expect from this show, a **happy ending**.However, there are a lot of plot holes that we probably will never get answered since the show got **cancelled**(but ~~riverdale~~ continued for **7 seasons**) and from my perspective this show had a lot of potential, that's why I am actually kind of sad it ended in a kind of _cliffhenger_ ### Last Words Even though it's a short kid's show I really enjoyed it and I hope whoever reads this, enjoys it too. Sure, there are some unfunny jokes, some mysteries left in the show and some lazy writing, but it doesn't need to be perfect to be enjoyable. Thanks for reading my "review" and I hope I didn't bore you. ### OVERALL GRADE: 8/10
hope a new season is coming in the future.
**The art of a con and revenge really comes to light in this series loving it** Nick moves in with the Thompson family who did something across her family, therefore she pretends to be a long lost relative coming to stay. She has one goal along with her real foster con artists parents the Harbours who she plans to con to get money for her Dad in jail. Unbeknownst to her she makes an emotional family connection to the Thomson's and the cons become harder and harder as she values their love, family and friendship with them. Just makes you think what would you do if someone wronged you and your family would you try to go after them like Nick did before your humanity kicks in. Love this and I definitely recommend watching this series as it is an interesting one with lots of twists and turns along the way.
Despite a good cast there’s not much staying power in a show about conning a family.
