This was a solid mid-season premiere. I'm
glad Lucy is okay,
well, as far as
still being alive
is concerned. Realistically,
she wouldn't be okay,
and I hope that is showcased for an appropriate amount of episodes instead of being brushed off too quickly. One thing that stood out to me was the quieter-than-normal eeriness throughout the episode. This show has always been upbeat and easygoing with a lot of music and the occasional "more tension-filled, suspenseful, serious moment", and noise, in general. Yet in this episode, not only was there barely any music but hardly any background noise, either. I think that added to the suspense and tension. Maybe it's been a little too long since the previous episode, and it's always been like that, I don't know. But regardless, I'm glad the show is back, and I'm looking forward to watching it again, week-by-week.
That was… dumb. Excessively so! I don’t know what was most laughable, but two things that come to mind are 1. only the usual peeps went looking, didn’t bring anything to dig with or even water for Lucy if they’d find her, and spread out super far in no time at all apparently BUT managed to come running in a minute after Tim CALLS out… and then they dig around the lid of the barrel. I just… WHY?! Also 2. there are barking dogs everywhere in this show (albeit admittedly fewer this season) and still they omit the dog that would have been logical - the K-9 unit? Ffs… Oh… and an honourable dumbfuckery: the hints that Tim and Lucy will get romantically involved. I do hope I am wrong, but I doubt it. And btw, burgers and fries smell a LOT so she shouldn’t have been all surprised. And why weren’t they cold? How did he know that she’d wake up? Is it “because he knows her so well…” #vomit What I DO love about the episode is Wesley’s monologue about asking for help!
Are they hinting at a Lucy and Bradford romance? I like Bradford but I don't want their student teacher dynamic messed up. Plus I liked Lucy with Nolan more than the Heroes double ice chick or Shaw from POI.
2 idiots got kidnapped by serial killer .. lucy a trained cop who had the chance to use something sharp like that chair she broke to escape and hit the guy a fatal blow but she didn't... the detective who went with a serial killer to try and save the girl who probably dead .. but he did trust on serial killer word ... and the most idiotic thing is that LAPD doesn't have a K9 unit to search for someone.
