Rick, Morty, and Summer get into trouble when time is fractured by a feedback loop of uncertainty that split reality into more than one equally possible impossibilities. Meanwhile, Beth and Jerry go to extreme lengths to save a deer struck by their vehicle.

Superb season premiere for the show. It's a spiritual cousin to co-creator Dan Harmon's "Remedial Chaos Theory" episode of Community. The time splits were a neat gimmick, and what made it so great as a storytelling device is that each moment of "uncertainty" both created new problems for Rick, Morty, and Summer, but also told us a little more about them and how they tick. It was great fodder for creativity on a show that's filled to the brim with it, and they even fit in some heart with 1/32 of Rick attempting to sacrifice himself to save 1/32 of Morty. It was a fun kick off to the new season that played on last season's finale. And I enjoyed the B-story to boot! It was much more down-to-earth (at least, in terms of this show) with saving the deer. It was nice to see a little focus on Beth as a character, and I loved both the absurdity of the story's conclusion and the fact that it tied into the tossed off line about Jerry's big tip at Coldstone. Throw in the amusing Einstein tag, and you have a hell of an episode.
Great start to the new series, smart and funny! Though I'm not sure which one of me is typing this...
Really good season premiere. Conceptually great and executed wonderfully through some amazing visuals and some really funny gags. Every single version of Rick thinking the other is trying to shoot him legitimately makes me laugh out loud every time. I also really liked Rick sacrificing himself for Morty, even if it did end up fine in the end. What really keeps this one from being great to me is the Jerry and Beth stuff, really didn't care about the stupid deer surgery. Also wasn't a big fan of those time police guys, they just seemed really random and unfunny, even if their post credits scene was really funny.
That was such a clever premise. Really impressed with this show. Can't believe I waited so long to get into it.
Back with a banger !!! Was such a good one and I would say the perfect way to start this season :-D
