Binge watched the entire series - 50 episodes - in 2023. It’s a top quality police whodunnit with superb production values and stories that range from good to superb quality. There’s not much in the way of character development or longer story arcs so when watched in bulk feels a little bit formulaic, but taken a season at a time it is one to look forward to I will continue to follow.

Very good from procedural/detective standpoint. A lot of times series like this go too much into interpersonal drama, but here it is murder first, investigation first. Everything else that's happening to the police unit in their daily lives is more subtle, and better for it. Highly recommended for those who watch such shows for the puzzle part of the plot; but the cast is great, no doubt. Great show all around.

Season 14 will be its last, followed by a special fittingly called "Vera... Farewell Pet"

Love it! This show and CB Strike are what got me on the British/Irish/Aussie shows and I am so happy I found so many whodunits that are wonderful! I started watching Vera in late 2022. Zoomed through the first 7 seasons/series. I will have to binge some seasons pretty soon.

Love this series. Brenda Blethyn plays the part sooooo well.
