É uma pena que a serie foi cancelada! Era uma das minhas comedias preferidas!
Better With You is one of those deceptively light network comedies that sneaks up on you with its charm. On the surface, it’s a familiar multi-camera sitcom about three couples at different stages of commitment, but what elevates it is the show’s warm, rhythmic interplay—an easygoing confidence that makes its humor feel lived‑in rather than manufactured. The series thrives on contrast: the long‑married couple who’ve settled into their quirks, the cautious pair who overthink every milestone, and the impulsive newly engaged duo who treat life like a sprint. That structure gives the show a natural comedic engine, and the writers use it well, bouncing perspectives off each other with a breezy precision. The jokes land not because they’re loud, but because they’re rooted in personality, timing, and the affectionate friction of family. Jennifer Finnigan and Josh Cooke anchor the ensemble with a grounded, slightly neurotic chemistry, while Joanna Garcia brings a bright, effortless spark that keeps the show from ever feeling static. Even when the plots lean into sitcom convention, the cast’s sincerity gives the material a gentle emotional pulse. It’s comfort television, but comfort with intention—crafted, not lazy. Visually and tonally, the show stays within the boundaries of ABC’s early‑2010s comedy identity, but it uses that framework well. There’s a crispness to the pacing, a clarity to the character beats, and a willingness to let small moments breathe. It never tries to reinvent the genre, but it doesn’t need to. Its strength lies in consistency, warmth, and a sense of familial rhythm that feels genuinely inviting. If the show has a limitation, it’s that it rarely pushes beyond its established formula. You can sense the ceiling early on. But within that space, it performs with admirable steadiness, delivering a series that’s funny, likable, and surprisingly cohesive. Verdict: A charming, well‑tuned sitcom that earns its laughs through character and chemistry rather than gimmicks—an easy, rewarding watch that comfortably earns its 8/10.
If you’re looking for a fun comedy to binge with only 22 episodes, this one fits the bill. I never even heard about this show until Roku added it on their free channel. Each episode takes on a single issue couples face and reveals how three couples at different stages in their relationship deal with it. Lots of fun 😃
