Yusuke Urameshi ist 14 Jahre alt und starb unter unglücklichen Umständen, als er ein kleines Kind vor einem Auto retten wollte. Er selbst ist jedoch alles andere als ein Engel, wodurch die Geisterwelt umso überraschter war von seiner Selbstlosigkeit. Eigentlich war Yusukes Tod noch gar nicht vorgesehen, weswegen ihm die Möglichkeit gegeben wird, ins Leben zurückzukehren. Yu Yu Hakusho is just a classic and riveting shounen from the glory days with an awesome English dub to boot (one of the few where the dub is better than the sub imo). There are so many great characters, laughs, tears and memorable moments all wrapped into this one unforgettable journey spanning 112 episodes. The best arcs are the Dark Tournament (season 2) and Chapter Black (season 3) sagas and I could watch them over and over again. Do yourself a favor. Don't think. Just watch.
One of the best classic anime out there. Similar to DBZ
One of the classic shonen. The anime adaptation is pretty good. Animation certainly feels a bit old nowadays but it's still fun to watch. Beginning is a bit boring and ending has been trashed, but that is the original material. But when it starts and the entirety of the second arc are epic. The main characters are fun and well developed throughout the story, be it in style, techniques, character or back story, and the villains are interesting. Good mix of action, comedy and adventure.
One of my favorite anime ever, it reminds how good those 90s long form anime really were. Great series and an especially touching ending. Forever Fornever!
