Very unlikeable MC, story doesn't really go anywhere, not a patch on her other stuff.
How you find shows is always an interesting question. I don't know how others usually do it, but in my case it always involves very little info gathering about shows. But that's kind of true in movies too. In many of my cases I see a poster, a promo picture or/and a logline. Sometimes this results in a bad show though. Four years ago I stumbled upon the poster of My Liberation Notes. It captivated me on the first sight. And I loved that show. The themes and message resonated with merather well. And I never forget it til this day. Park Hae-young's previous show, My Mister, is also on my radar, but back tracking is always going hard for me. Three days ago i opened Netflix and this show was on the main page. The picture, the logline and the title instantly pulled me in. I love movies so a show about the industry always interest me. But as I was sitting down and started the first ep I was thinking this show must be made by Park Hae-young. For what reasons I don't know, but I felt it in my guts. Now the show itself. The proposed plot and themes feels familiar and very real. Someone chasing the seemingly unachievable dream while the other is burning out of her job. But now the question is how Hwang Dong-man's path to redeem himself will go? He's very deep in self-loathing, anxiety and anxious. And his personality is very unlikeable. You can understand why the others feel about him they way they do. Because he's a classic energy vampire, draining anyone around him. So going forward they need to turn him around almost completely. Preaching about being honest to your face is a classic excuse for people to be rude and assholes. Unless he sees some of his errors his path will be very strange. On the other hand Eun-a is a seemingly very accomodating and kind natured person. She needs to be stronger and asserting of her positions. Her journey is more entertaining to watch in the long run. But can't carry the show alone. The look and cinematography of the show is top-notch. It's very nice and pleasing to see. There's not much to talk about here. It's a very promising show in this two episodes so far. I don't think it will live up to my expectations, but I will be glad to witness an overall good show.
رجولي دموعي 😣 اف البكاء لي بكيته و الضحك لي ضحكته و الغصة لي جاتني عند كل حرف و كلمة تقالت في هذا المسلسل
When I started this series, I wasn't expecting anything like this. I thought, 'It's just a film director, what could they show us?' But now I've found out that it's a pure masterpiece. Most dramas talk about perfect people, but this one shows us the real emotions that everyone feels daily: hate, envy, worry, anger, regret, ambition, self-destruction, etc. All characters make mistakes and try to survive. It really represents 'We Are All Trying Here'. Maybe this series can help us to understand each other better. I just wish I could have seen Knock Knock Knock and Yeongsil more. Except for a few points like that, I would give it a 10/10 🌟
👩❤👨 WE ARE ALL TRYING HERE La meva nota: El meu estil de sèrie!
