Every time I see a lead is also the producer of a show I can't help but thinking no one else wanted to do it. And this feels like exactly that. It's another (failed) attempt by Kaley to break out of her Penny mold. Just like "The Flight Attendant" she feels out of her depth, out of place and just straight unconvincing. She doesn't sell the character. Speaking of which, it's another one of these does one stupid decision after the next and yet, through sheer luck and plot armor, gets away with it all the time. Speaking of the plot, it feels unimaginative, paint by numbers "mystery". The heroine stumbles from act to act until everything falls conviently into place at the end. And personally I don't like stories that are told through flashbacks. I think this is one you can easily skip unless you need some background noise.

I mean it has its moments but there are obvious plot holes and predictable twists. A lot of the story doesn't make sense but I don't expect realism. It was good for a 3 hour entertainment

Apparently, Kaley can't do anything other than comedy. All the series she's tried to do that have any suspense or "drama" are really bad. Just look at the average ratings of her last two shows. It's obvious she wants to break out of character, but either she chooses bad roles or she's not suited for serious ones, because like the other two series she's done lately, they're predictable. Her acting is bland, very dry and cold. I don't know how to express it, but you watch her and if there's suspense... she doesn't convey it. If there's mystery... she doesn't either. As a comedic actress, she's a 10 out of 10, but for everything else...
