I don't know why, but when I saw the trailer for this series my first thought was that it would be on the level of The Water Magician, which I thought was excellent....I guess it's kind of my fault for getting my hopes up so high by comparing it to such an excellent anime. This series was good, with an okay MC, and above average artwork and animation. For me, the characters interactions with women and the way he handled things definitely got a bit played out. I found it funny at first but, then when the series leaned into the joke a bit too much towards the latter half of the season, it was just too much. The magic theory and the MC's use of magic was definitely the most engaging aspect of this. If you're a fantasy series magic lover, this one will definitely scratch the itch. Still looking forward to more of this, just hope the MC continues to grow and the series finds a better source of humor.
