Updated 13/10: For the past 90 days this series had me under it's spell. Each Saturday episode would take forever to arrive and then was over way too quickly. I fell in love with everything about this show; the characters; the plot; the story was everything I was looking for when I first started this. I needed something different to binge and this show filled the gap (as best in could for weekly episode releases). All the actors played their parts perfectly, with the main Desire4 bringing something magical to their characters. I can't wait to see where these four actors go in the future and will be sure to check out their future works. I'm going to miss the excitement of waiting for each new episode on Saturday's. This show will be on a yearly repeat for sure. 27/5/25: The series has such a grip on me right now... I can't get enough and a week is way too long between episode releases 😢
I’ve already watched this four times and I’m still not over it. The story pulls you into a heavy world where hierarchy is a weapon. Hua Yong is a standout—this "demon shark" Enigma posing as a fragile Omega just to trap Sheng Shaoyou. Watching their toxic game of corporate sabotage and fake identities is intense and genuinely unhinged. That high-stakes manipulation is exactly what makes the chemistry between them feel so loaded; every look and silence is heavy with hidden agendas. This tension carries over even to the second couple, Shen Wenlang and Gao Tu. I have mixed feelings about how their part of the story ended, but the show has a way of making those desperate connections feel real in the middle of a power struggle. The music hits differently too—the OST is easily the best from 2025 and I still have it on repeat. Everything feels deliberate, from the atmosphere to how the heavy scenes land. It’s a powerful experience and definitely the best thing I’ve seen during 2025.
