This dark fantasy medieval anime hooked me right away. It deals with heavy, emotional themes that keep me glued to every episode. The story feels fresh, the animation and art match the dark tone perfectly, and the OP/ED music is amazing. Easily one of the top anime this season — and honestly one of the best new anime of the year. The final episode had an epic OST that gave me goosebumps the entire time—it was truly amazing.
Clevatess turned out to be even better then expected with the right combination of action and story with fantastic animation. Season one was solid with a decent ending to the show but I like how they set it up for a season two which I hope comes soon.
Nonsensical story, dumb characters, weak action scenes. Average all-around.
The story is amazing and so is the animation, I would have loved if there was some prequel that introduces the story and explains the prior events a little better but I guess that's part of the mystery... In some earlier episodes there was so much shouting and baby crying that triggered the hell out of me especially since I had the speakers on, other than that I thoroughly enjoyed it start to finish. Hyped for a second season. 🔥
Pretty interesting idea for a story, decent animation and VA work, but the direction suffers a lot. It's a very mediocre execution of what could've been so much better. Don't think it will get better in next season either.
