I ADORE this show. So respectful of the queer dudes on the show, and it feels very authentically queer. But god some of the love triangles are frustrating lol.
It’s almost a period romance in how restrained the boys are. Glances and brief touches and requests to work together take on so much weight, it’s compelling. This format wouldn’t work in many countries given tenancies for people to get on reality shows to build a brand and become a celebrity. These guys’ interactions felt genuine and weighty and gave viewers something to care about. Also, Team Taehon!
la manera en que me obsesioné con este reality 😍 necesito mas temporadas es precioso y todos son un amor!!
Se me hizo bonito el hecho de que también salieran con bonitas amistades.
What a breath of fresh air this series is! I felt such relief at how calm and genuine it is. Having only seen parts of Swedish reality series before where I felt secondhand embarrassment for the participants, this show is the complete opposite. Watching these nine guys living together, running a coffee shop, and navigating love and friendship in Japan felt incredibly authentic and respectful. They are shy and nervous in a way that is utterly refreshing in the reality TV world, and I was immediately drawn into their search for a boyfriend. It is an incredibly warm and heartfelt viewing experience that truly celebrates queer love and community in a beautiful way.
