o final é agridoce mas o dorama como um todo é lindo!! a fotografia é impecável, os relacionamentos entre os personagens são maravilhosos e a cultura é muito interessante.
Because the scenery is so beautiful, I kept taking screenshots in every episode. I couldn’t bear to finish it all at once, so I watched one episode every few days. It took me a month to finish the 8-episode series. Compared to the original novel, a lot of content was added, but many details were also cut. I read the book a few years ago, and there weren’t as many stories about the Su Litan family. However, it’s still fairly reasonable. A TV series can’t have each episode telling a different story like the novel’s essays; there has to be a few ongoing storylines. The female consciousness of Tokin, the conflict between the old man and the two generations of Ba Tai, are all adaptations that align with current social developments. The downside: The ending of the seventh episode feels abrupt, and it’s clear that part of the content was hastily cut. Of course, this isn’t the screenwriters’ fault. A similar example is Honeyland, which is a good story in a documentary, while To the Wonder is a documentary within a good story. Since it’s adapted from Li Juan’s real-life experiences, there are no stereotypical characters or plot formulas, everything feels authentic and moving. I hope other books of hers will also be adapted into films.
